Twin Lance: Forged with 2 blades. The two blades work synergistically to inflict severe damage. The only drawback is its heavy weight. His mother, Raine Loire, a Landlady and Flower girl died shortly after after birth due to complications. His father Laguna Loire, who was away from Winhill looking for Ellone (Raine's adopted little girl) knew nothing of him. He was taken to an orphanage located on Centra where Cid & Edea Kramer raised him. On turning 13, he was taken to Balamb Garden to train towards becoming a SeeD Mercenary. He remembers very little from his childhood, due to his constant use of Guardian Forces. His weapon of choice is a Gunblade. He is one of the few Gunblade masters left in the world...H e only knows of three Gunbladers, including himself and to his knowledge the only one to level if not surpass his skill is his lifelong rival, and in a strange way, friend and lover, Seifer Almasy. They both sport opposite facial scars from their battles. Upon passing the SeeD exam, chaos ran riot in the world and the duty of Commander of the Garden and SeeDs within the Garden was thrust upon Squall, and has since stayed with him. During the war, he met his father for the first time when he ran into him in Esthar...He just happens to be the President (Don't ask Squall how! He thinks Kiros might do more work than he's given credit for). He is nothing like Squall imagined his father to be. Slowly but surely, they're beginning to bond. And due to Ellone's power of sending people back into other's memories...he have seen his Mother and the wonderful person she was. After the Sorceresses War, Squall suffered a breakdown, leaving Garden and setting up temporary home in Hollow Bastion, after it was overun with Heartless, he changed his name to Leon, refusing to be called Squall, or return to Balamb until he put things right at Hollow Bastion.
